A POPULAR bagel shop that has been open for less than a year has expanded its shopfront.

We haven’t been here a year yet and we already see people waiting in a long line and we want to help get people seated.”

Ms Peckels will be painting the walls in the new area in the next few weeks.

“The wall I’m doing now I’m kind of adapting a bit of a polish paper cut aesthetic,” she said.

“I do everything in black and white but I wanted to bring more colour to it.”

The shop has everything from the classics to bagel dogs to polish doughnuts.

“A lot of people don’t realise everything we sell is vegan,” she said.

“We have short hours because we make everything fresh overnight and we open nice and early because we want to sell it by lunch time so it is fresh.”

Bury Me Standing is at 49-51 Spence Street and is open Thursday to Sunday from 7.30am to 12.30pm
