Avengers Endgame star Chris Hemsworth comes to rescue after school lockdown after stabbing

Hollywood film star Chris Hemsworth turned up at a Byron Bay school and performed a heroic act after a teacher was attacked, forcing the school into lockdown yesterday.

HOLLYWOOD film star Chris Hemsworth turned up at Byron Bay Public School yesterday to work in the canteen after a teacher was attacked, forcing the school into lockdown.

His wife Elsa Pataky posted a video on Instagram of the Avengers: Endgame star entering the school carrying two containers of sushi.

The Byron Bay locals helped the other mum working in the canteen individually wrap the sushi in paper before it was given to the students.

Ms Pataky captioned one of the videos with: “Always helpful to have a super hero in the kitchen!!”

The school went into lockdown shortly after 7am yesterday following reports a teacher had been stabbed.

Police allege a 31-year-old woman stabbed Year Four teacher Zane Vockler with a pair of scissors.

The teacher suffered cuts to his face and arm.

The woman was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and entering enclosed lands without a lawful excuse.

She was refused bail to appear in Tweed Heads Local Court today.

Mr Vockler, 28, was taken to Tweed Hospital to undergo surgery and was in a stable condition on Tuesday night.
