Gather the family for a colourful weekend of Easter themed events and plenty more as the region prepares for the arrival of the fluffy bunny.
Here’s 10 events to keep all ages entertained this weekend.
1. PRINCESS AND THE FROG
Prepare to be captivated by Toowoomba Ballet Theatre’s rendition of a fairytale classic at the Empire Theatre on Saturday, April 12.

2. MISSION TO MARS LEGO WORKSHOP
LEGO fans will be jumping for joy over this VIP event as part of the Toowoomba Brick Event held over Saturday and Sunday at the Showgrounds.

3. SOCK BUNNY WORKSHOPS
Gather the kids for a weekend of school holiday fun at Clifford Gardens crafty and adorable workshop running from April 11-16.
Session times run from 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm with limited spots.
4. EASTER EGG HUNTS
Sunday is an egg filled day with multiple Easter egg hunt events running throughout the day.
- Easter egg Hunt at the Makers Market at the Goods Shed from 9am on April 13.
- RE/MAX Success’ 2025 free Easter egg Hunt will take place at Queens Park from 9am to noon on April 13.
5. ROWES EASTER LIGHT SHOW
Prepare to be amazed as Rowes comes to life with several giant musical animations that will have all ages dancing along with the Easter Bunny with shows running at 6pm from April 11-20.
6. CLIFTON CLIPPER
Immerse yourself in a historic experience as the Commissioner Railmotors embarks from Drayton and travels through the Darling Downs countryside touring to Clifton.
Tickets include lunch at O’Shanley’s Irish Hotel Clifton.
7. TOOWOOMBA TRAILS
History buffs unite for a unique experience of Toowoomba’s magnificent railway precinct including war memorials, air raid shelters and more on April 13 from 10.30am-12.30pm.

8. CHIPMUNKS TOOWOOMBA
If you’re looking for indoor fun then look no further than Chipmunks Playland and Cafe with a range of exciting play zones and attractions to keep the kids entertained this weekend.
9. PICNIC IN THE PARK
Grab a picnic blanket and your family and friends and head to one of the region’s picturesque parks, with the likes of Laurel Bank Park, Queens Park, Picnic Point, Queensland Rose Garden or Ravensbourne National Park.
10. MARKETS
Stock up on fresh produce and homemade goodies for your weekend celebrations at one of Toowoomba’s quality markets, with special Easter themed stalls.
- Saturday: Toowoomba Farmers’ Market is as 27 Lindsay St, East Toowoomba (near the windmills at Cobb Co Museum) from 7am to 12pm, Twilight Easter Markets at 12 Peace St from 4pm.
- Sunday: the Toowoomba PCYC Market is at 219 James St from 7am to 12.30pm, Queens Park Easter Markets at Frogs Hollow from 8am, Makers Market at the Goods Shed from 9am.
