SELF-STYLED Gold Coast playboy Travers ‘Candyman’ Beynon is branding hundreds of Gold Coasters with a free tattoo — and recipients like Nadia Davis are loving it.
Beynon says initially he was surprised at how many people used to want his company branding permanently inked on their skin.
But now it has proven so popular he is doing a tattoo giveaway for his 47th birthday next month.

He has arranged for those who want one of his ‘CM’ logo (yes, it stands for Candyman) or the logo for his empire of tobacconist shops to book free on March 9.

The offer, via Celebrity Ink tattoo shops, has been inundated with 300 bookings soon after it went live this week, Beynon claims.

“I first did a tattoo competition in 2016 which got some interest and now the interest has blown up since partnering with Celebrity Ink.
“But I didn’t expect to book out five tattoo shops in 30 minutes.”
In return, those branded people get “preferential” status for the next Candy Shop Mansion party.

Told by ATG that surely anyone getting a company tattoo should be guaranteed a party invite, he said: “Guests tattooed with CM or Free-choice at the party are guaranteed VIP at the next party. People who get either will be given preference over 12,000 guests (who apply).”
Cafe manager Nadia Davis, 35, had her tattoo done on her lower butt cheek on Thursday.
“I just think while we’re young and doing silly things why not,” she says.
“I was going to get it in December but there was way too many girls getting branded. I can’t wait till I’m older and I tell my grandkids about it.”
