Shopper frenzy over trendy $25 Kmart throw

Savvy shoppers are going crazy for a “gorgeous” accessory that one mum said was four times cheaper than other homewares stores.

Must have Kmart buys under $50

As it gets cooler most of us are looking at ways to layer up in bed — all while keeping things stylish and not breaking the bank, of course.

Kmart has sparked a frenzy among shoppers over its Cotten Aruba Throw which at $25 is a steal compared to more expensive versions of the trendy style.

Victorian mum Jackie Hagart posted pictures of the throw to her Instagram account @my_friend_jackies_house before sharing a post to the Kmart Inspired Homes Facebook group.

She advised shoppers to “run … don’t walk” to pick up the in-demand item after seeing how “lovely” the huge throw looked on her bed.

“I love the extra giant tassels – and the price. Only $25 – other homewares stores have similar that retail for four times that price,” she told news.com.au.

Ms Hagart’s post soon racked up hundreds of comments from other Kmart fans who were either keen to get their hands on the “gorgeous” throw or those who had already scored one.

One person said it was similar to a more expensive tassel throw stocked in homewares store Adairs, while others said they had bought multiple throw blankets to style in different rooms around their home.

“I have this throw, I love it but never thought to put it on a bed as a cover looks lovely,” one person said.

“Isn’t it gorgeous! I’ve had mine for months and months. Hoping to pick up another one,” one commented.

Other people said they had been trying to get their hands on the throw, but had no luck so far.

“I’ve been trying to buy this throw but our Kmart has none,” one person wrote.

“Love this throw, went to Kmart to get one and there was none left,” another lamented.

If you’re looking at more practical ways to keep warm then Kmart also has a budget version of the popular “oodie” blanket for just $29.

The fleece-lined hooded blanket is an oversized sweatshirt which also features an equally oversized kangaroo pocket for convenience.

The brand version Oodie costs over $100 a pop and has been hailed by fans as “the best thing that has ever happened to me”.

But for those on a budget Kmart’s version has been labelled the next best thing; with TikTok user @yaasssminee advising people to give the cheaper version a go.

Don’t forget about your feet either — Target is selling a $20 pair of “microwavable slippers” which can reportedly “relieve aches and pains” and even provide “temporary relief from sprains and bruises”.

The slippers should only be heated for 45 seconds in a 500-750 watt microwave or 30 seconds in a 750-1000 watt microwave.
