A RIFT between business owners could be behind the sudden closure of Broadbeach nightclub Platinum according to former employees.
The popular club announced it would shut its doors Friday afternoon indefinitely for “renovations” despite already booking acts for over the weekend.
The business, based at Victoria Ave, which was previously under all female management and ownership had been purchased by new owners TCJ & Associates just two months earlier.

A number of former bar staff who spoke with the Bulletin said they believe a change in the club’s culture had sparked a disagreement among those in charge.
“There was an issue over staff treatment,” one staff member said.
“The vibe of the place had also changed for employees which I think led to some tension for the owners.”
