A New York-style eatery has closed its doors for good.
Pinky’s Kitchen & Bar at Nobby Beach, known for its neon pink signage and delicious twists on Americana meals, announced its sudden closure on Sunday.
Owned by hospitality young gun Brayden Condon, 26, the bar had a reputation for its unique, contemporary fare.
In a message posted online, Mr Condon thanked his loyal customers.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers, suppliers, contractors and everyone involved with the Pinky’s journey over the past two years. It’s been a wild ride,” he wrote.
“I’d also like to thank the staff, past and present, that made Pinky’s what it is today. People are the heart and soul of any business, especially in hospitality, and your contributions will never be forgotten.
“Lastly, I’d like to thank my family and friends. Without all of you by my side this journey never would have been possible. Your love, support and guidance are truly appreciated. Until next time.”
The news came as a shock to many customers who shared their disappointment at the closure online, but were supportive of the young owner.
