THEY say every dog has his day, but for the owner of Infinity the St Bernard, this wasn’t hers.
The cheeky pooch, 7, was in no rush as she romped through a Gold Coast Bulletin photo shoot at Palm Beach yesterday, much to the despair of mortified owner Vicki Smith.

The four-legged model-in-the-making wouldn’t budge, plonking herself in front of photographer Glenn Hampson and refusing to move, inspiring Ms Smith to lie down with her.

“It’s kind of a daily occurrence with her, if she finds someone she likes, that’s it, until they come up and pat her she won’t move,” Ms Smith said.

“She absolutely adores children and loves getting pats. She’s bigger than most kids so she’ll stay still and wait for them to come to her.”
The loveable hound has been known to interrupt everything from beach picnics to farmers markets in her quest for cuddles, making friends wherever she goes.
“If she wants to talk to somebody she has no sense of personal space,” Ms Smith said.

“She’s a beautiful animal and she puts a smile on people’s faces.
St Bernard dogs can grow as big as 1.2 metres tall, weighing up to 120 kilograms.
Ms Smith said she has no idea how Infinity compares, but told the Bulletin the gentle giant devours about two kilograms of fresh food every day.
