A HANDLER has been taken to hospital after being attacked by a crocodile at the Shoalhaven Zoo today.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was presenting a feeding show at Shoalhaven Zoo, in south coast New South Wales, around lunch time today when one of the animals attacked him.
It is believed that the handler was dragged into the water in the enclosure by one of the crocodiles, a 3.7m male, as spectators watched on in horror.
The handler was able to get free and managed to get out of the water.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
