Last week, RSPCA Queensland raided the animal sanctuary rescuing almost 40 animals in appalling states of ill health.

But yesterday was about the sausage dogs and highlighting the love people have for their pets.
Long-haired Humphrey was happy sniffing around by himself while 14-month-old Mickey was reunited with sister Millie.
Mickey’s owner Kylie Marks saw Millie was a similar size to her dog and after chatting with the owners they realised their snags were siblings.
Amy Robinson organised the meet up as a positive way to get together and have fun with the dogs.

“We wanted to get together as way of supporting each other through this horrible time,” she said.
Ms Robinson said the group, who has been running for about seven years, had fundraised for Storybook Farm.

“We’ve had dogs in our group that have gone to care at Storybook Farm and the group has been left really shocked and betrayed,” she said.
Natalee Paine was horrified by what had happened and went to the event with her Dachshunds Twixie and Dixie.
Daughter Georgia, 9, said it was fun for the dogs.
“They like playing with all the other dogs a lot,” she said.
