"His wife is facing an unimaginable loss"

Pankaj’s younger brother, Jandeep, wrote his brother’s loss had “left us devastated”.

“He was recently married, and his wife, now alone in Australia, is facing an unimaginable loss without any family support in this foreign land,” he wrote.

“As we grapple with this immense loss, we are faced with the challenging task of bringing Pankaj’s body back home to India, so he can rest in peace surrounded by his loved ones.

"We appreciate your kindness, support and prayers as we navigate through this painful journey of loss."

"It was in his blood, he just couldn't give it up"

Neville, from the northern suburbs of Adelaide, was remembered as a “legend” and “much-loved grandfather”.

“A bloke I have known for as long as I can remember,” one friend wrote online.

“From riding my push bike down to the old J&A yard to annoy you, to having the honour of travelling the highway together.

“You were one of the old fellas that always had the time for JUST about anyone. Rest in peace mate, and say G’day to dad for me.”

Neville’s widow, Delphine, told 9News her husband, affectionately known as ‘Slim’, had spent a lifetime on Aussie roads.

“It was in his blood, he just couldn’t give it up,” she said. “He tried to retire twice.

“He was tough on the outside but soft on the inside, and would do anything for his friends.”
