Despite both girls wearing their seatbelts, the impact was too strong, and they both tragically died at the scene.
The 31yo mum sustained minor injuries and was rushed to Merredin Hospital, but has since been discharged.
“This crash and the death of the two young girls will have a long-lasting impact on the family, friends and the broader community,” said Adam Matson, major crash officer-in-charge.
“The scene of the crash was extremely confronting.”
He added the cause of the crash was currently under investigation, and the police are yet to speak to Rachel.
