THE new love interest of Gold Coast reality star Apollo Jackson admits she has felt an attraction for him since his 2017 turn on The Bachelorette when trying to win over Sophie Monk.
Love Island’s Edyn Mackney, 22, has been dating Jackson, 26, for almost six months but the love affair started long before then.
“I think everyone had a crush on him,” she says.
“He was definitely the hot, cool magician on the show.”
Jackson’s interest in the model was ignited after he was on a Radio Metro segment following Mackney.

She tells ATG: “The host gave me a really good wrap and (Apollo) said he would have to find out what I was all about. He messaged me on Insta-gram asking about my reality TV experience. We laugh about it now.
“He wasn’t what I expected. I thought he was another guy from a dating show and that he may be a douchebag,” she says.

In November last year, a number of rumours surfaced that Jackson would be the season’s next Bachelor — but Mackney told ATG the pair made it official around that time.
“We started talking last year and made it official around November or December,” she says. “I spent Christmas with his family. They are all so beautiful and accepting.”
For now, the loved up couple are living separately on the Gold Coast and have no plans on living together any time soon because they want to do some travelling first.
“We spend pretty much every day together,” Mackney says.
“He’s my partner in crime.”
