"My son is on team Velcro until he can tie his shoes "
First up, shoes. She explained, "[I will not send] my child with lace-up shoes if they cannot tie their own shoes.
"There’s nothing worse than bending down to tie a child’s shoes and the laces are wet… and guess where they’ve been – the bathroom."
She then cringes before saying, "Sorry to my son, but he’s team Velcro until he can tie shoes – period."

"The person who invented these deserves jail time"
Launching into her second point, Kristen grimaces as she points to fruit salad in fruit juice.
Apparently, these fruit cups cause staff too much hassle.
"My son will never go to school with this particular snack," she says.
"Teachers across [the country] know that these are not only so hard to open, but they spill juice everywhere.
"On you, the desk, your hand – it’s impossible to open this lid without spilling juice everywhere."
Her parting comment about her most hated snack was, "Whoever invented this lid deserves jail time.
"My son is getting pre-cut apple slices."
"A kid told their mum I took them on an unauthorised field trip"
And on a slightly more serious note, Kristen warns parents to think wisely before believing everything their child says after a day at school.
"The third thing I’d never do is always believe my child’s version of things that happened at school – especially if they seem out of character for the teacher, the school, the admin etc," she advises.
She then recounts an incident where a child told their mum that she took their whole class on an "unauthorised field trip to the park" in her personal car.
The parent was initially "enraged" but was then apologetic after Kristen explained that they had just gone to a different playground on the school's grounds.
"I just say that I don't tie shoes"
Parents took to the comments to share their thoughts on the list.
In regards to the point about shoes, other childcare workers and teachers expressed their shared annoyance.
"I straight up say, 'Oh, I don’t tie shoes,' I make them [do it]," one woman shared.
Another wrote: "Non-tie shoes that are so hard to get on the kid's feet that it takes a teacher and possibly other students multiple minutes to get them on..."
Then this mum commented, "I just bought my son Velcro's because of this!"
For the point about the fruit cups, every teacher agreed that they were the bain of their existence and suggested tips for opening them more easily.
"That fruit cup, I peel it back over the sink and pour half the juice out," one said.
Another wrote, "Get them to drink the juice with a straw first before opening."
And finally, the consensus about Kristen's final point was that children have a tendency to easily exaggerate or distort stories.
"My daughter said someone hit her so I showed up to talk to the teacher... turns out my daughter was the one who hit someone," one mum admitted.
