$69 Kmart item Aussies obsessed with

A new Kmart item being described as a “need and a want” is sending shoppers into a frenzy, with many trying to get their hands on one.

Kmart has dropped the Light Up Wavy Mirror for $69, which is currently sold out online but is still available in stores less than a week after it launched.

The unique mirror, which lights up in different colours such as green, yellow, light blue, dark blue and red, has become incredibly popular on social media platforms.

Some designer homewares stores, which have a similar looking but larger version of the mirror, retail for up to $4,000.

Social media users immediately fell in love with the popular item, with many eager to get their hands on one of them.

“It’s a need and a want,” one person commented online.

Another said: “OMG Kmart. Love this. I need.”

One sweet grandparent revealed they had just purchased the popular mirror for their 10-year-old granddaughter for Christmas.

“I don’t like it. I love it. I need it,” another said.

One enthusiastic fan said: “LIVE, LAUGH, LOVEEEEE KMART! IS IT IN NZ??? IF NOT THAT’S FINE ILL ORDER IT FROM AUS.”

However, despite the huge price difference with some designer versions, one social media user said they had spotted the item but still deemed it relatively expensive.

News.com.au has contacted Kmart for further comment.

It comes after the excitement over the Metal Frame Wavy Floor Mirror for $49, as part of the retailer’s Black Friday range.

More than 100 items were introduced by the discount retailer to celebrate the annual event, which launched November 23 and are in stores while stock lasts.

Kmart is not the first retailer to have a full length wave mirror as part of its range, but others have a price tag ranging from $199 to a whopping $899 on designer homewares sites.

TikTok user @rachael_hamilton said that social media users should take her video as a sign to get the Metal Frame Wavy Floor Mirror – especially if they were put off by the idea of transporting it home in a small car.

“I’ve got a little Hyundai i30, and it fit. Was it a squeeze? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes, because this is a f*****g awesome mirror,” she said.

“It looks so good.”
