AFTER months of construction, Harbour Town has finally unveiled its new multimillion-dollar dining precinct.

The $25 million precinct, to be known as Harbour Town Eats, is the largest addition to the large shopping centre since its North-West Mall opened in early 2016.

The new food area is set to offer everything from quick bites and street food stalls to banquet menus, cafe fare and a first of its kind sports bar.

Crafty’s Sports Bar plans to “redefine” sports bars by creating an all-day, family friendly venue with DJs, food trucks, games and fresh food.

Also joining the line-up are Zeus Street Greek, Asian “hawkers market” street food, restaurant 8 Street, a fish and chips window and cafe-style Sanctum.

Harbour Town centre manager Gary Webb said he had been looking forward to welcoming the new range of international foods and flavours.

He said the aim of the overhaul was to create something that was more than a food court, where people could meet for meals and drinks, whether shopping or not.

“(It) establishes the centre as a destination for dining not just during our core outlet shopping hours but also into the evenings, seven days-a-week,” he said.

The revamp follows in the footsteps of Pacific Fair, Robina and the new Coomera Town Centre, where dining is a key focus of the mega-malls.

Harbour Town Eats is on track to open mid-December for holiday shoppers, with an official opening in January.
