TWO cast-iron bathtubs perched on a Burleigh rooftop provide the ultimate way to soak up the scenery.
Guests at Burleigh Esplanade Apartments’ loft penthouse are treated to panoramic views that sweep from the swell to Surfers to sunsets over the hinterland without having to budge from the bath.
The lofty local love nest is pitched at couples, who are guaranteed privacy when disrobing alfresco.
“It’s a penthouse so you’re right at the top and there’s nobody to look in at you,” Burleigh Esplanade Apartments manager Candice Flanagan said.
“It’s so beautiful up there.”
With its nondescript entrance, tucked at the top of a stairwell, the loft hides in plain sight at one of Burleigh’s most popular holiday hot spots.
“We’ve only had it in the letting pool for less than a year, so it’s definitely a little secret,” Ms Flanagan said.
“It’s for a maximum of two people, so we get a lot of bookings for honeymoons and special anniversaries.
“The owners give everyone bubbles and chocolates when they arrive and special little bath bombs.”
The eclectic two-storey apartment has a Balinese feel with bamboo and naturally lined ceilings, stone and marble finishes, and a gourmet kitchen with European appliances.
Foxtel, free Wi-Fi and airconditioning sweeten the deal for holiday-makers planning on hibernating.
A spiral staircase leads to the master bedroom and more mind-blowing views.

“You look straight out at the ocean when you’re lying in bed – it’s just incredible,” Ms Flanagan said.
The alfresco attractions continue on three separate balcony outdoor entertaining areas, one with a pool table, barbecue and dining area.
While the scene is set for romance, couples will have to allow for a third wheel – a large pet python comes with the apartment.
“He does keep our guests entertain, but he’s fully secured behind glass and we look after him,” Ms Flanagan said.
