What swimwear styles are making a splash this summer?

Our Hi Tri and Tanga Pant styles are proving extremely popular, as well as our one-pieces, some of which have already sold out. We just introduced a new mix and match function, which our customers are really loving. All our styles are sold separately and designed to mix and match, so customers can create their own unique peony combination.

Tell us about your current collection.

We are so incredibly proud of it. The standout feature is definitely the fabrics we have developed for the range. There is no flat, block-coloured Lycra — all of our fabrics are textured, woven or embroidered and super luxe. They sit alongside exclusive locally created prints, bringing a clean bohemian feel to the range, which is distinctly Peony. Personally, I love the Dusty Rose Hi-Tri and Staple Pant, which is made using embroidered Lycra in the most beautiful tone of dusty pink.

Why is the Gold Coast a great place to be a swimwear designer?

Burleigh really is a beautiful part of the world. The beaches are world class, the weather is beautiful and we have the hinterland in our backyard. This place is a natural wonderland. I love the heat, the ocean breeze and the intense humidity followed by summer storms. This is my favourite time of year and, with summer holidays around the corner, everyone has a bounce in their step. It’s a beautiful place to be.
