A GOLD Coast venue is running a competition to gift one lucky couple a wedding package worth $20,000.
Miami Marketta director Emma Milikins launched the Marry Me At Marketta competition to help promote her food market and live music hall as a great space for eloping.
Ms Milikins said out of more than 1000 applications, six pairs of lovebirds are now competing for a popular vote.
“When we decided we were going to start doing weddings, we wanted to do a competition,” she said.

“(In the finalists) we’ve got a same-sex couple, a couple that when their baby was born (the father) had to go off to the Navy, they’ve all got their own story. This has gone to public vote now, it’s out of our hands.”
Ms Milikins said the winning couple will be treated to Miami Marketta’s deluxe wedding package with up to 100 guests catered for.
Ms Milikins said the Marketta had already hosted 14 nuptials this year — and it’s not even wedding season yet.
