ONE of the Gold Coast’s most notorious figures has listed his waterfront mansion for sale and advertised it for rent during this year’s Gold Coast 600.
Motorsport fans can stay in former Surfers Paradise loan shark Tim ‘Sharky’ Ward’s luxurious mansion on Admiralty Drive, in Paradise Waters, from October 18 to October 22 – the GC600 race weekend.

The price depends on how you book. The cost of renting the palatial home for four nights on race weekend is listed as $6710 on booking.com and $5897.59 on Air BnB.
The six bedroom, four ensuite plus two separate bathroom rendered brick house – 0.9km from the Gold Coast 600 racetrack – was listed for sale for $4.75 million on August 22 with McGrath Surfers Paradise.
Since September 2, the 733sq m home has also been advertised for rent on booking.com as a “4.5 Million Dollar Surfers Paradise Dream Mansion”.
“NO PREPAYMENT NEEDED – pay at the property,” the booking.com listing says.

Air BnB also carries a listing for the home under the same description.
Ward, now based in Thailand, also owns four storage units (two 21m sq and two 56m sq) at a facility in Shipper Drive, Coomera, which he bought in December 2016.
His airconditioned Surfers residence, which sleeps up to 12 people, overlooks the Nerang River on one of the ritziest streets on the Gold Coast and comes complete with a three-car lockup garage, a study, polished timber floors, boat mooring space and pool.
According to Air Bnb, the two-level house is a professionally cleaned, “Versace inspired high-rise building” with “scrumptious toiletries” and “hotel-quality high thread-count bed linen and towels”.
A former Surfers Paradise nightclub owner, notorious for his collection of Lamborghinis and heavily-tattooed, rarely-shirted body, Ward has spent much of his time caring for stray dogs since he moved to Thailand.
In keeping with Ward’s avowed love of animals, pets are permitted at the mansion.

Originally built in 2002, Ward bought the palatial home from Shane Brewer and Maria De Fatima Brewer for $4.325 million in June 2008.
Other listed features include a 240m sq patio, a dishwasher, barbecue, free Wi-Fi, hot tub, ironing facilities, a ping pong table, air hockey table, massage chair and two kayaks.
“You will have private access to the entire waterfront home. Just please note we will keep one room locked where we store our personal belongings,” the Air BnB listing says.
When it comes to house rules, smoking is not permitted but ‘special requests’ will be considered.
