McDonald’s brings back Spicy Chicken McNuggets

McDonald’s has finally listened to the pleas of chicken nugget fans, announcing the return of a popular limited-edition menu item.

McDonald’s has announced the return of its McSpicy range for a limited time only.

While this of course means that, from today, customers can get their hands on two new takes on the McSpicy burger, we only care about one thing: the fast food giant’s fan favourite Spicy Chicken McNuggets are back on the menu.

For the uninitiated, Spicy McNuggets are just like the classic ones, but hotter – made with juicy Aussie chicken breast and coated “in a deliciously crispy and spicy tempura” that “will certainly tickle your tastebuds”.

“What better way to welcome spring than by turning up the heat with Macca’s signature, succulent spicy chicken,” McDonald’s group brand manager Lancy Huynh said in a statement.

“Made with 100 per cent Aussie RSPCA Approved chicken, the new range adds an extra kick to classic, much-loved Macca’s menu items.

“Perfect for lunch or dinner, these bold, unique flavours will no doubt get customers’ tastebuds tingling.”

Joining the Spicy McNuggets is the Double McSpicy – which is, as the name suggests, “double the spice, double the crunch” of the traditional McSpicy (now a permanent menu fixture).

The burger consists of two Aussie chicken patties, marinated and coated with a range of spices, and then topped with mayo and lettuce.

If that’s not quite your thing, maybe the Cheese and Bacon McSpicy will be: described as “the fiery McSpicy with a tasty twist”, it comes with the addition of Aussie Jack cheese and rasher bacon.

The returning menu items will be available in all Macca’s restaurants nationwide, including via the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery, from today, September 14, for a limited time only.
