In a move described as “making Aussie burger history”, Hungry Jack’s has launched a bite-sized snack that takes on everything we knew about the iconic menu item.

From February 27, the fast food giant will make Burger Bites available on the menu nationwide.

The combination of beef, cheese and ketchup enclosed in a crispy shell is inspired by its burger range.

Hungry Jack’s fans can get their hands on the Burger Bites in two forms – a $4.25 cup that includes a medium chips and 10 bites, or a pack that includes 20 of the snacks for $5.95.

“Hungry Jack’s burgers are known for their iconic, smoky, flame grilled flavour. We’re excited to introduce a new way for customers to satisfy those big burger cravings in a bite-sized snack, perfect for when you’re on the go,” Luke Pavan, Hungry Jack’s marketing director, said.

He said the burger chain was always looking at new ways to create snacking experiences that are unique to the flame-grilled restaurant.

It’s not the first bite-sized snack that Hungry Jack’s has introduced in recent times, also having dropped the Gravy Tatos and Pop’n Chick’n. Both items proved incredibly popular.

Earlier this year, the fast food chain revived two fan favourites to its menu after customers begged for the burgers to return – the Tropical Whopper and Aussie Whopper.

American influencer Karissa Eats said the Tropical Whopper was nearly as big as her head.

“It had a pineapple and bacon and two patties and barbecue sauce – it was a lot of food,” she said.

The post, which drew in more than 150,000 views, generated an excited response from followers.

“Getting down to my local hungry jacks brb,” one user wrote.

“OMG going right now,” another said.

Hungry Jack’s Burger Bites are only available for a limited time at restaurants across the country.
