AN ICONIC Surfers Paradise pub which has been a stomping ground for locals for almost a century will debut its new look on Friday.

The Surfers Paradise Beer Garden on Cavill Ave has spent the past four months undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation to turn into a trendy outdoor venue.

Life-sized board games including pool and battleship are now found on the lawn, pavlova and fairy floss feature as ingredients on the cocktail menu and staff have switched their former black clothing for bright Hawaiian tops.

Venue manager Kiara De Vere said the Beer Garden had gone back to its roots with the new roofless look.

“It was originally built to be an outdoors space which is exactly what we’ve recreated,” Ms De Vere said.
