'Fin-tastic!': There's a new Baby Shark Movie coming soon

The new trailer shows off the celebrity line-up of voice actors like Cardi B, Ashely Tisdale and Offset. 

Get ready to be re-traumatised and get that earworm stuck in your head again, because Baby Shark is about to star in a major ocean picture, we mean - motion picture. 

Yep, that's right - Baby Shark is getting his very own movie!

Nickelodeon, Paramount+ and The Pinkfong Company (aka the South Korean education brand that launched the whole damn thing) released the official trailer for Baby Shark's Big Movie today and it looks absolutely fin-tastic, if we do say so ourselves (sorry!)

Featuring a star-studded line-up and a catchy soundtrack, it's sure to be a viral sensation, just like its namesake song.

The debut movie will feature a celebrity lineup of voice actors

The movie, which will debut on December 9th on Paramount+, is the first feature-length original animated movie based on the hit preschool song.

It will follow Baby Shark and his family as they move to Chomp City, a shark-infested metropolis.

Baby Shark is forced to leave behind the world he loves and must adjust to his new life without his best friend William.

When he encounters an evil pop starfish named Stariana, who plans to steal his gift of song in order to dominate all underwater music, he must break her spell to restore harmony to the seas.

Rapper couple Cardi B and Offset will star as the voice actors behind 'Sharki B' and 'Offshark' and appear alongside their real-life kids, Kulture, five, and Wave, two, who will voice Sharki and Wavey Shark respectively. 

The cast will also feature Ashley Tisdale as the pop starfish Stariana, Lance Bass, and Saturday Night Live stars Ego Nwodim and Chloe Fineman. K-pop group ENHYPEN will also put their voices to a pop boy band of belugas. 

The lineup joins regulars of the TV show Baby Shark's Big Show, Kimiko Glenn, Luke Youngblood and Natasha Rothwell.

Over on Twitter, fans couldn't contain their excitement. 

"Omg this looks adorable," one user Tweeted.

Another said, "Okay, Cardi B's whole family starring together, so cute!"

"I'm so ready for this," shared someone else. 

"I've been waiting so long for this - FINALLY!!" remarked a different woman.

Pinkfong’s Baby Shark song launched on YouTube in November 2015 and became the world’s first-ever video to hit 10 billion views, making it the most-watched clip in YouTube history.

The song was awarded RIAA Diamond certification (11 x platinum), selling more than 11 million units in the U.S. alone.

It proved so popular that it even sparked the #BabySharkChallenge, an online dance craze that also went viral all over the world.
