As 23 women fight for Jimmy Nicholson’s heart – one stood out, greeting The Bachelor in a seriously skimpy, see-through mini-dress.

You only have once chance to make a first impression, so the old saying goes.

A whopping 23 women are vying for the heart of this year’s Bachelor, all of them keen to stand out among the sea of sequins surrounding Jimmy Nicholson.

And what better way to stand out in a crowd than with a jaw-dropping ensemble the 31-year-old hunk will find difficult to forget.

The ninth season of the popular dating franchise is filled with the thigh-high splits and dazzling ball gowns we’ve come to know and love from The Bachelor premiere.

But one woman undoubtedly turned heads in a “naked” white dress, often worn by brides on their big day.

‘Naked’ mini dress from Portia and Scarlett

Jay, 31, stepped out in the couture gown that retails for an eye-watering $1463, that was not only tiny in length, but also sheer with a plunging neckline.

The nutritionist from NSW rocked the strappy number, made by designers Portia and Scarlett, with earrings by Roxy Jacenko and accessories from budget jewellery store Lovisa.

She finished the look with statement clear shoes by Billini, her honey “bronde” locks styled into loose waves.

Underboobs, cut outs and cleavage

Of course, no Bachie premiere would be complete without an array of sexy outfits – including a mix of underboobs, cut outs and cleavage.

Elena, 33, decided to flash her killer abs in this light blue two-piece from the Amy Taylor Collection. The personal trainer from NSW oozed confidence in the skimpy ensemble, that she teamed with Lovisa accessories and shoes by Tony Bianco.

Another fitness lover whose outfit showed off her athletic figure is Ash, a dance teacher, from Queensland, in a sequined number that matches her state’s colours.

The 34-year-old wore a dress from Michael Costello that featured an on-trend cut out that flashed her midriff as well as a halter-neck showing off her sculpted shoulders.

Corporate lawyer Charlie has a gown that is giving me Princess Diana vibes – I know it’s not the same as the late-princesses iconic black number at a 1994 dinner at the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens, but the neckline is strikingly similar.

Bold gowns galore

It’s not opening night of Bachelor season without a colourful outfit choice, and this year youth support worker Rebekah has gone for that crown.

The 27-year-old from NSW has a rainbow carnival dress with matching feather wings made by famed Mardi Gras costumier House of Priscilla.

Annabelle’s dress makes us want to stand up and start singing the US national anthem thanks to its red, white and blue stripes. The Alin Le Kal dress is very striking with a sheer skirt that flaunts the 28-year-old medical equipment installer’s legs.

Another striking gown was Tamlyn’s burnt orange gown, made by A&N Luxe Label. The 25-year-old customer service officer from NSW looked very comfortable in the figure-hugging design teamed with shoes from KUWTK star’s Kendall and Kylie.
