Fans notice painful detail in Tammy Hembrow’s bikini selfie

Influencer Tammy Hembrow knows what it takes to get the perfect Instagram photo – and she’s even willing to go to painful lengths to get it.

Fitness influencers: Who can you really trust on Instagram?

When it comes to taking the best bikini photo, Instagram star Tammy Hembrow knows what to do to in order to take the perfect shot.

Photos the influencer took while on holiday in Hamilton Island have been praised by fans after they noticed the painful steps she went to for it – kneeling on sand covered with small rocks, coral and shells.

As any Aussie will tell you, the only thing more painful then having to stand on hot sand in summer is when it is also made up of shells and rocks.

In one of two photos posted to Instagram, Tammy could be seen kneeling on a rocky beach in a skimpy bikini top and skirt with cut-outs by SkinKini.

“It’s OK to lose yourself from time to time,” she captioned the post.

Tammy’s followers were quick to praise the photos saying she was a “tropical queen” who gave them “mermaid vibes”.

However others pointed out that her kneeling post showed serious dedication.

“The sand looks like it might hurt the skin,” one person wrote, while another simply commented: “Ouch.”

“Huge props to you hun because I couldn’t even walk on that coral when I was there #nopainnogain,” another wrote.

“How’s the knees?” one asked.

“Surely hurting ya knees,” another comment read.

Tammy is holidaying in Hamilton Island with her two children, Wolf and Saskia, and boyfriend Matt Poole.

The foursome travelled to the tropical island via private jet, with Tammy sharing plenty of pictures of them enjoying their stay.

‘I’M NOT GOING TO STOP BEING ME’

Tammy is a big fan of the skimpy bikini and in 2019 launched her label Saski Collection’s first bikini line, Saski Swim.

Speaking to news.com.au at the time, Tammy said she was a fan of the revealing swimwear design and having her first swimwear line reflect her personal style was a “no-brainer”.

“To be honest, I’ve been really confident in my body the last couple of years particularly because I’ve really worked hard on it,” she said.

But wearing the revealing styles hasn’t been without its critics, with Tammy revealing she often cops hate for her skimpy looks.

“Definitely, I think there will always be people that will make comments and say you’re a mum, you shouldn’t be wearing something like that,” she said.

“But everybody is entitled to their opinion. I’m not going to stop being me or catering to my audience of girls because of that divisive opinion.”
