Members who attend a popular Gold Coast gym which abruptly shut down have been told what will happen to their paid membership as the owners address the sudden closure.

MEMBERS who attend the popular Gold Coast gym which abruptly shut down on the weekend will have their future payments on hold.
F45 Helensvale, located in Oxenford, had padlocks placed on the site's front gate by landlord Bob Perrett on Saturday morning.

Dozens of members were concerned about the closure as they were still having payments being deducted, of a minimum of $55 a week, from their bank accounts.

An email was sent out by F45 yesterday morning saying the Helensvale training centre closure would be “temporary”.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused due to the sudden and temporary closure of F45 Helensvale,” the email read.
“We are working with the owners to have you back in the studio training ASAP.
“All membership direct debits will be paused until further notice.”

It is understood the owner of the gym, formerly named The FourFive and trading through a company called Hughzibear, Michael Hughes may be behind in rent.
The property was last advertised for rent in 2016 for $62,500 a month.
The Bulletin was told at one stage the training centre had more than 500 members paying minimum of $55 a week.
