Temple of Beauty owner Chrissy Schultz says she was one of three people offering eyelash extensions on the Gold Coast 15 years ago, so your peepers are in safe hands with her. On top of adding pizzazz to your lashes, Temple of Beauty’s menu includes cosmetic injectables, spray tanning, facials, waxing and tinting. “We do amazing eyebrows and we have our own tanning solution,” Chrissy says. “We keep our prices pretty reasonable. We always put in 150 per cent, we’re always honest, we love what we do and we have fun — it’s happy positive vibes here. We’re right near the beach in the heart of Broadbeach and our salon is really unique looking with crystals and amethyst. We get a lot of complements on it.”

It warms us to see this transformation.” Elysium has a range of everyday treatments from lash lifts to manicures, as well as more advanced options including cosmetic tattooing, skin needling and LED therapy. “The LED light therapy is our most popular — I absolutely love this treatment,” Jen says. “It works on reactivating the living cells with no pain or downtime and can leave the skin absolutely glowing with less wrinkles.”

I’m very into skin care ingredients, I have my own product range which are active plant extracts. Hinterland Beauty Therapy owner Michelle Slade keeps communication open with her clients to build a trusting relationship. “I will tell a client wether a treatment will benefit them or not,” she says. “I don’t want them to spend money where they don’t need too. I want the everyday lady to come to me knowing it will not break the bank to pamper themselves.” She says she offers an affordable range of treatments with the most popular option the lash lift and tint. “I just love the way my clients get a huge smile on their face when they see what their lashes look like and how it’s opened their eyes,” Michelle says.
