Astrologer Natasha Weber predicts what 2022 means for your love life

Astrologer Natasha Weber has predicted certain star signs are going to have a rocky start to the year. But there is good news on the horizon.

OK, so if you’re anything like me, you’ll be thinking, “Wow what a bin fire of a year 2021 was for dating!”

However, if I’m honest, I actually had a pretty darn good time! From a cute lockdown bubble buddy, to getting some experts on my podcast to teach me how to date in a much better (and healthier) way, this year gave me plenty of time to ponder and reflect on some of the bad dating habits I had got myself into (Umm … thanks lockdown?!) and I would like to say I’m all the better for it.

Yep ‘bad boys’ and ‘projects’ are being left in 2021 and guys who have hopes, goals and aspirations are on my hit list in 2022.

So with that in mind, I decided to invite a brilliant astrologist by the name of Natasha Weber onto my Kinda Sorta Dating podcast to find out what we all have in store for our love lives in 2022.

And my friends, it is looking promising … promising indeed! Especially Taurus, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius.

For starters, we’re currently in a Venus retrograde which began on the December 19 and runs right through to the January 29. Now, if you’re anything like me, the word retrograde tends to make you shudder … however it can actually bring about a lot of good, you just gotta strap yourself in for a ride.

It’s a time to focus on what changes you want to make moving forward in regards to dating and relationships. It’s a really good time to change your ‘type’. So, if like me, you’ve been going for unattainable men, then you’re going to start thinking about going for a guy that’s sweet, kind and open to a relationship. PRAISE BE!

So hot tip: you need to spend the retrograde getting real with yourself and deciding what kind of partner you are looking for in 2022.

Natasha did warn, however, that Venus retrograde is also famously known for bringing back exes. Yep, be prepared for a visit from the ol’ partners of the past.

Why? Natasha explained that the universe will keep trying to teach you a lesson until you learn from it. So that means if you let a guy walk all over you, they will keep bringing him (or someone similar to him) back into your life until you learn to tell them to once and for all to choof off! Let’s face it, you deserve better.

Alternatively, Natasha said it could also teach you to open up and communicate with your ex about what you’re feeling in a healthy and direct way, and you may just get the happily ever after you always wanted.

It’s called hardballing, which I may have harped on about in last week’s column. Seriously, not a bad trait to bring into 2022.

Natasha warned that because Venus in Retrograde in the first month of 2022, it will really be a time of “make or break” for couples, so time to have those deep and meaningfuls and decide what you really want.

Now spoiler alert: Natasha gave a slight warning to Capricorns, Cancerians, Aries and Librans – thanks to Venus retrograde – you are the ones who are going to find this first month of the year the hardest. Yep, she went so far as to say you will be the ones either getting dumped, or doing the dumping. Eeek!

She did, however say it could be a blessing in disguise, and you will get the worst of it all over and done with at the start of the year. I guess you could look at it as getting rid of the muck and then having the rest of the year to live your best life?

When I pressed Natasha on what star signs work magically together in love, she offered me a little cheat sheet. Turns out that matching elements will always make good matches. So fire signs – such as Leos, Aries, and Sagittarians will always be a good match. As will water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces), earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) and air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius).

So as a Leo, next time I get to the bar I’m just going to straight up start asking around for any single Aries and Sagittarians in the room. #NoShame

However, don’t stress if you’re with someone from a star sign outside your element, it just means you’ve got to dig deep into your birth chart – which you can do online – and see if their other rising signs work with your rising signs. Sheesh it’s detailed isn’t it!

The good news is, as Natasha went through what each star sign had in store for their love lives this year, it was all rather exciting!

As a final word of warning, though she did mention one important thing. If you are planning on getting married this year, make sure it’s not when mercury in retrograde! No important documents, like a marriage certificate should be signed at such a time.

Wow, that was a lot to take in! So go forth in the new year and make it the BEST most magical year ever. I know I will be!
