It was back to school day today for many students, with more to follow tomorrow. Here’s what preps were most looking forward to.

Madelyn and Chloe Boston are preparing for one of the biggest days of their young lives when they start at St Vincent’s Primary School in Clear Island Waters.
And the four-year-olds both know what they are most looking forward to when they walk through the gates in their smart new uniforms – the fun they will have.
“Playing in the playground”, was Chloe’s priority, while Madelyn said she was looking forward to “playing with friends”.
The sisters, who mum Taryn said are “a couple of little best friends born together”, are among eleven sets of twins who will attend St Vincent’s this year.
The school also has a set of triplets – Lucy, Wren and Rose Dowling – among its students.
Mum Sita said the six-year-olds “really loved” the school and were excited to be returning.
Excited too is Principal David Sewell, who said teachers at the 810-pupil school have been working hard ahead of the return of students.
“(The first day back) is a real hub of excitement,” Mr Sewell said.
“It’s great to see all those bright, smiling faces.
“It’s one of my favourite days of the year.”
DOUBLE CUTENESS: RECORD NUMBER OF TWINS JOIN PREP AT POPULAR SCHOOL
Teachers at St Kevin’s School in Benowa will be seeing double when classes begin for 2023 – with five sets of twins due to start prep.
They can also expect to see a lot of happy little faces among the siblings and their classmates, with preps at the school getting to enjoy an impressive new playground with a water pump, pretend supermarket and spider web climbing frame.
St Kevin’s School Principal John Downie said that while the school already had seven sets of twins in Years 1 to 5, it was unprecedented to have five in just one year level.
“It is definitely rare to see five sets in Prep, it’s certainly record breaking for St Kevin’s School,” Mr Downie said.
“It’s exciting, but I know it will be a bit tricky for teachers to remember who is who, with some of the sets of twins being identical.
“I look forward to getting to know them individually and learning how to tell them apart.
“As they always say, double the trouble, twice as much fun, and they certainly will have a lot of fun on this new playground.”
Mr Downie added that the popular Catholic school was blessed to have “awesome families” and a “really positive community atmosphere.”
The sentiment was echoed by parent Tim Mathieson, whose daughters Charli and Harlem are among the twins starting prep this year.
“It’s a really good school with really great teachers,” said Mr Mathieson, who has an elder daughter, Memphis, going into Year 2.
“We’re stoked”.
Mum Emma Cox, whose twins Evie and Eleanor are also among those starting at the school next week, said they are excited to begin classes after trying out the new prep playground at their orientation days.
“The new prep playground has really enticed and excited them about going to school, they really love the water play area,” she said.
“We’ve found the St Kevin’s Prep Readiness program to be fantastic and has shown the twins that school is a fun place to be.”
