There’s always that one personality on every season of a reality show that rubs contestants and viewers the wrong way.

For the very first season of the BINGE series FBoy Island Australia, that person is Caleb Duncan, a 31-year-old American personal trainer based in NSW.

He is charismatic, cheeky and chiselled – all the makings of an FBoy. But he was also responsible for this season’s most controversial moment to date, when he declared that one of the women on the show “aint got no good p***y.”

“I felt like I was the most natural person when it came to just being me on the show,” he tells news.com.au. “You know, I got a big personality. Everybody’s like, ‘Get him off [the show]’ at the beginning.”

There was a very good reason for that, though: In an early episode of the show, Caleb uttered one of the most controversial comments ever aired on Aussie TV.

The show, hosted by former Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield, centres on three single women who must navigate a dating pool of 24 FBoys and Nice Guys.

Caleb caught the eye of single gal Molly O’Halloran, who revealed to the cast that she dumped her fiancé shortly before entering FBoy Island after discovering he’d cheated on her with an escort.

After her admission, Caleb told the other male contestants that Molly’s ex had cheated as she likely “aint got no good p***y”.

Many of his fellow contestants called out Caleb’s comments, and viewers were horrified, but speaking to news.com.au, he stood by his derogatory statements about one of the women he was trying to woo.

“I was kind of was shocked about the reactions of other contestants, because these guys act like this doesn’t happen, but this is a true issue,” Caleb says of his slur about Molly’s private parts.

“I don’t think I was being terrible. With that particular guy [Molly’s ex], having to get an escort, she was with him just a couple of hours before. I think I was being real honest because I’ve been with women and their vagina is just not that good. Be real. You want me to be a real guy or you want me to tell the women what they want to hear?”

Caleb insisted the outrage over his comments was a case of “double standards.”

“I’ve had some instances where if you have a small penis, the girl’s gonna laugh at you. But if the girl has vagina and it’s not that good, it is not getting wet, it’s not moist? It is a double standard,” he says. “So I’m just trying to be authentic, but also I knew that that was gonna ruffle some feathers because nobody’s ever said that on Australian TV.”

“Honestly, I was the most honest person on that show more than anybody else. I believe a hundred per cent.”

When things did not work out with Molly - for obvious reasons - the controversial star developed a connection with another single girl on the show Ziara Rae, 21.

They were vibing up until he was forced to reveal his FBoy status, shortly after which she eliminated him from the competition this.

And it was a good thing she did because Caleb says he was eyeing taking the $50,000 prize money.

“You know what, I would’ve ran. I would’ve probably ran just so people can be even that much mad at me because they’re already mad at me,” he says. “I think Z’s such a nice girl. I probably would’ve split it with her, though. But she’s such a good girl. I liked her on the show.”

Looking back on his time on FBoy Island, Caleb gives himself a pat on the back for getting as much screen time as he did – and he believes it was because he kept it real for the cameras.

“I’m gonna tell it how it is. I’m not gonna fake it. And a lot of people don’t love me for that,” he says. “I’m gonna get opportunities because I am how I am. I’m not coming on the show to fall in love, but I started digging Z towards the end.”

After being eliminated from the show and heading straight to Limbro – a makeshift camp on the island where Abbie attempts to reform the FBoys – can an FBoy ever really be reformed, we ask him.

“I believe so. I think I will always be a guy in the middle of an FBoy and a Nice Guy always until I think I get married,” he says. “So it kind of keeps you on that good balance because I don’t want nothing serious right now, so I’m gonna be an FBoy or just a guy that’s just not ready. I’m in between them.”

“So I’m an FBoy and a good guy because I’m good to my friends, I love people, I come from good family. I had to just level up for the show and just like bring that energy.”
