‘Don’t want to talk about it’: Kim Kardashian shuts down over Kanye West on Keeping Up With the Kardashians

While partying with her sisters in Malibu, Kim Kardashian has revealed her private handling of the drama involving her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kanye West.

Kim Kardashian’s response to Kanye West’s Twitter meltdown, claims the family tried to “lock him up”, and the rapper’s failed presidential run has been revealed for the first time.

The reality star, 40, opened up about her marriage dramas in the second episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ final season, which began with Kylie Jenner wearing a low-cut animal print catsuit on the set of Cardi B’s video for WAP.

“It’s the highlight of my career,” Kylie tells Cardi, who is sporting 10cm-long fake nails.

The episode addressed the burning question of whether Kim would talk about her marriage breakdown to Kanye in front of E!’s cameras.

And the answer was a big fat yes. Bring a bucket and a mop.

‘UNNECESSARY DRAMA’

Khloe’s storyline in the second episode revolves around her on-off relationship with NBA player (and actual real-life player) Tristan Thompson.

“Honestly, me and Tristan are figuring things out but I am still trying to navigate my feelings,” Khloe reveals.

Their possible reconciliation has been gathering attention online, after Scott Disick commented under Khloe’s Instagram thirst trap that Tristan was a “lucky man”.

“I don’t want my peers to look at me and think, oh this b*tch,” Khloe says, of her hesitation to be social media-official with Tristan (this is after he cheated on her with Kylie’s ex-BFF, Jordyn Woods circa 2019).

“I’ve always been vulnerable,” Khloe laments. “Recently, I would say I am really affected by what people say.

“I don’t even know what’s happening so why do I need to feel pressure to give people answers?”

On the matter, Kim deadpans: “I am so over you bowing down to what the public thinks.” Is Kim talking about Khloe or herself?

KIM’S MARRIAGE WOES

The scene cuts to Kim opening up about her own relationship drama. Khloe’s BFF Malika Haqq asks Kim if Kanye is running for President. “So is your husband running for president?” Malika innocently asks. “That is what I am not sure of. It’s been a long day,” Kim tells her.

“It’s no secret that people see things in the media about my life with Kanye, but I have always been really respectful in not talking about issues that Kanye and I have.

“I mean, you guys clearly see them on Twitter. So I am still going to choose to not really talk about it here.”

While the timeline is unclear, Kim’s comments seem to be addressing Kanye’s Twitter meltdown, where he called Kris Jenner “Kris Jong-un”, blasted Kim for posing in Playboy, claimed he had been trying to divorce Kim, and accused the Kardashians of “trying to lock me up”.

“Kanye has been in Wyoming and he has been posting a lot of things on social media,” Kim explains.

“You have to separate yourself from what’s going on at home and in Wyoming.”

In her to-camera confessional, Khloe weighs in on Kimberly’s handling of the Kanye situation, revealing that Kim – one of the most famous women in the world – is private.

“I know because she’s not talking about it even to us privately that it’s really affecting her,” Khloe says.

Monager Kris Jenner adds her thoughts: “I feel like she is struggling a bit. I don’t know how she is dealing with the stress of it all. She has got a lot on her plate”.

Kim is shown speaking on the phone to Kanye’s team, offering to fly to Wyoming. She later did, and the couple were captured by the paparazzi having an emotional conversation in a car. “I’m happy to come, I can get on a plane tonight.”

KENDALL’S BABY FEVER

It’s tough being Victoria’s Secret model and budding tequila mogul Kendall Jenner, who at 24 is feeling pressure to have kids, like, now.

“I think it also started to hit me when Kylie was having a baby, and one of my best friends is and she’s my age,” Kendall tells Khloe, 36, and Malika, 38, possibly referring to Gigi Hadid.

“I’m a little jealous but it’s fine.”

Malika tries to make her feel better by telling her: “You’ve got plenty of time”.

Still, it’s on Kendall’s mind enough for her to lament: “I am the only one in my family who does not have a kid. Sometimes I just see Stormi and True and Chicago. I want kids, badly, soon”.

Khloe and Malika decide that Kendall needs a reality check about parenting, and they arrange for her to babysit Malika’s son, Ace, who is dressed in baby Givenchy.

“I literally don’t know what to do. I don’t know how this works,” Kendall says.

TRISTAN BEGS FOR FORGIVENESS

Last episode, Khloe opened up about trying for another baby with ex-boyfriend Tristan, and revealed they are undergoing IVF to conceive.

This time, they are both getting real about their relationship status.

“I put her in this position,” Tristan tells Scott, vaguely coming clean about his cheating backstory. “Khloe I know really doesn’t care what social media says but I know what we have been through … I have an understand of the role I played in this.”

Reformed bad boy Scott, who was accused of cheating on Kourtney multiple times, says he “feels” for Tristan.

“He made some mistakes. To me I feel that the only thing stopping Khloe from being with him is … the media.”

Back at the Malibu ”vacation home”, Kim grills Tristan about his relationship, too.

“I think she’s totally fine otherwise she wouldn’t be hanging out with you 24/7,” Kim tells Tristan, who is trying to talk Khloe around into being his girlfriend again. “She was always the tough Khloe who doesn’t give a f***,” Kim says.

Tristan says he wants Khloe to “just do whatever the f*** makes her happy”.

So what does Khloe think? “I don’t want to overexpose things,” she tells her maybe-boyfriend. “I am trying to keep these matters really, really private.” She is not the only one.

“My soul is at a breaking point as to how much I can handle the public talking about my weight, my face.”

“I don’t think I have it in my anymore, I am protecting my spirit. I have to make sure I protect my mental health.”

“I’m really trying to work on letting things go. Not everyone knows everything happening behind closed doors.”

‘WHO WOULD I BE DATING?’

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney have a girls’ night at the Malibu “vacation house” to take Kim’s mind of the Kanye drama.

Khloe makes Kourtney “take one for the team” and interrogates her about her dating life, asking her if she’s seeing anyone, as Kim loves gossip.

“No, who would I be dating?,” Kourtney says (this episode was shot before she started dating ex-Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker).

“Do you still talk to what's-his-name?”, Khloe asks, possibly referring to Kourtney’s younger ex-boyfriend Younes Bendjima.

Kourtney: “No, never. He’ll text me once in a while.” She never really spoke about him or their break-up, so this is a bit of a bombshell.

Switching to the Kanye subject, Kourt reveals that her brother-in-law called her and admitted he shouldn’t have tweeted about private family matters.

“It wasn’t an argument,” Kourt deadpans. “(Kanye) said, ‘it would be nice to be able to say things. I said, yeah say what you want to say but did you have to say those tweets publicly? And he said, ‘no, you’re right.’”

While the sisters are getting drunk in Malibu, Kourtney attempts to balance a cardboard box on her head while Khloe high kicks it off, martial arts-style.

“I don’t know the last time we’ve been this drunk together,” Khloe says.

The next day, Kim tells Khloe: “I think sometimes I need to figure things out on my own. My life with Kanye – I’ve got this.”

The final season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs on Foxtel’s E! at 11am on Fridays and is repeated at 8.30pm.
