SOCIAL media star Kurt Coleman makes his debut on television this Sunday when he appears in a new episode of Gold Coast series Stage Mums.
The Gold Coaster who was once a social media darling and responsible for the #perflifekurt hashtag in 2015, now looks to return to the public eye with the series.
Stage Mums was launched on Ten Network in September and tells the story of two trashy Gold Coast stage mothers, Shaz and Trace, as they try to take their daughters to the top of the performance scene.
The episode was filmed on location at Burleigh Heads and will feature Coleman throughout.
The 21-year-old said he was contacted around a year and a half ago and asked if he wanted to star in an episode based on himself.
“I was quite surprised as I didn’t think they were planning to put it on TV,” Coleman said.
“I’ve never done acting but was always something I wanted to do.”

The former Miami State High School student remained coy as to what viewers can expect in the episode, but said be prepared for plenty of laughs.
“In the episode I come into the talent agency but you’ll have to see what happens. I know I have a funny scene with a pool cleaner,” Coleman said.
“I haven’t actually watched the whole thing, just a clip, so my first time watching it will be on Sunday with my mum.”

Since his social media stardom in 20195, Coleman left the glitter of the Gold Coast last year to pursue modelling and DJing in Melbourne.
He told The Bulletin he has no plans of moving back to the Gold Coast anytime soon.
“I’m just living life. At the moment I’ve been DJ’ing every weekend down in Melbourne,” he said.
“I’ve been doing heaps of modelling and a bit of different stuff at the moment.”

When asked if the Stage Mums role was a paid performance, Mr Coleman refused to answer.
“I don’t do things if I don’t love them, regardless if it’s for money,” Mr Coleman said.
“People always ask me to do shows but I only want to do stuff that’s interesting.”
