Bob Geldof famously doesn’t like Mondays but he enjoys making a movie on it.
The Boomtown Rats frontman and hit maker is on the Gold Coast where he is filming scenes for the new film Zombie Plane.
The man behind Live Aid has been in southeast Queensland shooting scenes for the film, which sees him star alongside 80s action star Chuck Norris and 90s rapper Vanilla Ice.
Geldof, in the film. plays a hero who saves passengers on a plane from the zombies which have overrun the cabin.
On Monday he was spotted shooting scenes at Gold Coast Airport dressed in a loud green and orange tracksuit and wearing huge sunglasses.
When asked about his role in the film, Mr Geldof said he “can’t wait to see it, especially with the cast.”
Last week he opened up about the role while walking the red carpet at the Brisbane International Film Festival.
“I am actually starring in Zombie Plane. Obviously, I’m very f —king nervous because this is a big acting role,” he said of his casting, the first in 12 years.
It’s far from his first acting work, having starred in the 1982 film Pink Floyd: The Wall and the Spice Girls film Spice World in 1997.
