The show has been described as a “character-driven cocktail of crime, surf, sex and sunshine” by IMDb.
The project has been dubbed a coup for the city, boosting jobs and injecting around $41 million into the Queensland economy.
The series has also hired six Australian directors to lead the production.
A number of big film and TV productions have being lured to the Gold Coast in recent years including ‘Tidelands’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and most recently ‘Godzilla vs Kong’.
