Movie World: 200 positions available for paid ‘scarers’ at Fright Night

FANS of the supernatural and gruesome horror film tragics are in for some frightfully good news.
Movie World is looking to summon 200 dead lucky souls to star in its annual Fright Night spook-tacular.
Village Roadshow entertainment creative director Chris Grew said he was expecting to receive between 600 and 700 applicants — and anyone who applies will be auditioned.

“We are looking for zombies, monsters, psychopaths and creepy people of all shapes and sizes,” he said.

Mr Grew will be one of the judges selecting the cast to join the theme park’s evening attraction, which is held every October.
“We get groups of 50 people and see them every hour for 12 hours over two days,” he said.
“It’s best to turn up as yourself.

“From there we make callbacks and start to send people to get fitted for costumes.
“But we love people who take ownership of the characters and bring their own personal style - that’s when the characters really come to life.”
It did not matter if you lacked experience, as Mr Grew said “all you need is the right attitude” and be over the age of 18.
Positions were also available for“maze presenters”.
This will be the last year the House of Kain Maze will be an attraction at the Oxenford-based theme park.
