Movie World’s Fright Nights kicks off for month of October

WITH tight, twisting corners that never seem to end and poor lighting, Movie World’s latest maze installation for Fright Nights is bound to set the adrenalin pumping through even the most stoic of hearts. Are you one of the brave?

YOU could be forgiven for stepping into this maze and feeling like you’re not going to come out alive.

With tight, twisting corners that never seem to end and poor lighting, Movie World’s latest installation for Fright Nights, Leatherface, is bound to set the adrenalin pumping through even the most stoic of hearts.

It’s one of two new mazes added to the collection of four at the spooky event this year.

The other new maze, called House of Kain, is an original and creepy concept created by the park’s in-house entertainment team.

Head of entertainment Michael Croaker said the Leatherface maze was “designed” to be especially spooky.

“There’s an element of claustrophobia in it. It’s a series of narrow, tight turns that add to the tension,” he said.

“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise is very rich in horror elements. We’re really excited about it.”

Mr Croaker said there were several subtle – or perhaps not so subtle – nods to the movie series that would be picked up by fans.

But the team was especially excited about the House of Kain maze it had created.

The maze follows Mr and Mrs Kain who own a hotel – but no one ever leaves alive.

It just so happens that they’ve been quietly sacrificing lodgers to “demonic realms,” Mr Croaker says.

Fright Nights start tonight and will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until October 28.
