THERE’S a scary amount of things to do for Halloween on the Gold Coast this year.

The Haunted Passage
When: Oct 15-16, 22-23, 29-31st 5-9pm
Where: Cavill Lane at Surfers Paradise
Details: This Haunted Halloween event will showcase roving performers, scare actors, atmospheric effects, little shops of horror, laneway bar and a main attraction of the Haunt Maze amongst our resident traders for one hell of a good night. Free entry to The Haunted Passage. Individual charges apply per attraction and/or offer.
Chevron Island Halloween Party
When: October 31 from 2pm
Where: Korman Family Park, Chevron Island
Details: Bring your dog along in costume for an afternoon of sausage sizzles, meat raffles and prizes to be won.
Fearaphobia Scream Park
When: October 22 to 31
Where: Westfield Helensvale
Details: Tickets available at www.fearaphobia.com.au
Kids Halloween Trail
When: October 30, noon to 3pm
Where: Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre – Visit the Halloween cart on ground level
Details: Grab a Halloween Trail Card, follow the clues to find all the pumpkins hidden in stores throughout the centre, and be treated to a free Halloween goodie bag.
Halloween Trick or Treat Trail
When: October 28, 5pm to 8pm, October 30, 11am to 2pm, October 31, 11am to 2pm
Where: Westfield Coomera
Details: Come dressed in your scariest Halloween outfit and begin the trail at the Pumpkin Farm, near the Food Court. Follow directions from the spooky farmer to find a zombie at the Haunted House and the Wicked Witches’ where you will receive another treat or a trick.
Spooky Disco Party
When: October 31, noon to 3pm
Where: Playground at Westfield Helensvale
Details: DJ Drac will spinning the tunes – come and do the monster mash, and play some ghoulish games! There will also be free fairy floss, popcorn and freaky face painting.
Kids Halloween Disco
When: October 30, 6.30pm to 8pm
Where: CSi Club Southport
Details: Get the kids ready for a spooktacular night of free fun, including a disco, games, giveaways, free fairy floss and more for ages five to 12.
Halloween Party
When: October 30, noon to midnight
Where: House of Brews Surfers Paradise
Details: Staff dressed in Halloween theme. Bookings are essential.
APG Pimpama Halloween
When: October 31, 3.30pm to 7.30pm
Where: Swan Rd, Pimpama
Details: Food trucks, face painting and more in the park.
Halloween 8 Hour Music and Dance Festival
When: October 31, 10am to 6pm
Where: Surfers Paradise Golf Club
Details: Get ready to get your dancing shoes on for 8 hours of live music and DJ’s, plus free Lindy Hop and Rock & Roll dance classes.
Halloween at KDV Street Food Market
When: October 30, 3.30pm to 8.30pm
Where: KDV Sport
Details: KDV Street Food Market has a spooky night planned and you are invited. Free entry, live music, kids area and a haunted house included.
Mudgeeraba Halloween Party
When: October 30 from 5.30pm
Where: Mudgeeraba Redbacks RLFC
Details: Halloween Party organised by the youth of the Walk With Us Youth Academy. All money raised will be used to go back into the program. Come along dressed as your scariest character. Prizes for best dressed and a $5 entry fee.
Halloween Car Costume Meet
When: October 30 at noon
Where: The Spit Carpark
Details: Everyone dresses their car in a costume (in celebration of Halloween), top three costumes win prizes.
F# Cancer DnB Halloween Day Party
When: October 30, 2pm to 9pm
Where: Caffeine Kings
Details: Come and celebrate Halloween with us here at Caffeine Kings for our F### Cancer Drum and Bass Party. Tickets available at the entrance for $15. All funds raised go towards Izzy’s cancer battle.
Finns Fest Halloween
When: October 29 11am to October 31 at 2pm
Where: Finn McCool’s Surfers Paradise
Details: Grab your group of ghouls and get ready to celebrate all things scary. $1 wings all weekend, live entertainment, prizes and a spooky face painter. Bookings recommended.
Halloween at the BT
When: October 31, 10am to 9pm
Where: Benowa Tavern
Details: Get spooooooky at the Benowa Tavern this Halloween with: a Kids Disco from 6pm, delicious cocktails, Halloween themed desserts and food specials and a prize for scariest costume!
