Shafted groom and Married At First Sight star Dion Giannarelli has confirmed he’s found love on the Gold Coast.

It comes after the 34-year-old Melbourne-based developer had a horrendous run of bad luck on the hit program, where his Brazilian bride Carolina Santos was embroiled in a cheating scandal with fellow contestant Daniel Holmes.

Attending the 2022 TV Week Logie Awards nominations in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast on Sunday, Mr Giannarelli told the Bulletin he had indeed found love locally.

“I can confirm that I’ve found love right here on the Gold Coast and I’m very happy,” he said.

The mystery Gold Coast girl attached to the well-dressed developer has not yet been identified.

Mr Giannarelli’s development group, in conjunction with Melbourne-based developer Pelligra Group, is spearheading a $480m redevelopment of the ageing Mariner’s Cove shopping centre on the Gold Coast’s The Spit.

The three-storey luxury precinct will include a six-star branded hotel, floating beach club, more than 500sq m of restaurants and bars and a “white glove” superyacht marina.

He told the Bulletin on Sunday he was “very excited” for the development, and that it would bring a “world-class development to a city that truly deserves it”.
