Controversial Block contestant Kylie Baker has unveiled a racy new look on social media - but she’s been met with mixed reactions.

Controversial 2024 The Block contestant Kylie Baker has unveiled a racy new look on social media, weeks after the show’s dramatic end.

Kylie stripped down to a bustier and showed off her new blonde locks in footage she posted to her Instagram account (as opposed to the Nine-approved @kylienandbradtheblock account, which has laid dormant since the show’s November 10 finale).

But her revealing post was met with a mixed reaction from some of her 7000-odd followers, with trolls leaving comments like “embarrassing” and “bet ur kids are proud” under the post.

However, showing their relationship is going strong after their difficulties on The Block, Kylie’s husband Brad leapt to her defence in the comment section, repeatedly calling out the negative comments.

“Only thing embarrassing is you thinking you have any right whatsoever to put your assumptions and options onto someone else there is unfollow for a reason,” he told one nasty commenter, leaving a comment of his own for his wife: “No one hotter.”

Cairns-based Kylie and Brad had a bumpy ride on The Block, which exploded with a “flirting” scandal in the second half of the season that saw Kylie quit the show not once but twice.

She and Brad eventually returned for auction day, and while they placed last out of the five teams this season, they did so with a very tidy profit of $650,000.

That massive return was all thanks to billionaire Adrian Portelli, who purchased all five Block homes at auction this year in an act that he insisted marks the end of his involvement with the show after three years of spending big.

Kylie’s return for the season finale came after she and Brad skipped the final week of the show, bowing out amid serious marital issues and mounting pressure.

Earlier, during a hard-to-watch 90 minutes of television, Kylie kicked her team of trades out of her house, repeatedly swore at Cam during judging, then fled into the night barefoot after threatening the show’s camera crew.

Kylie’s distress was a point of contention among Block fans, with one on social media dubbing her on-camera breakdown “most uncomfortable thing” they’d seen on television.

But despite the show nearly ending their marriage, the couple – who are still together – ended the show $650,000 richer.

As the massive bids for their house rolled in on auction day, Scott Cam gently teased Kylie about her earlier insistence she wouldn’t attend the auction: “You’re sure you want to stay?” he asked her. “Thought so.”
