‘Shame’: Scott Cam delivers sad Kylie and Brad news on The Block
One day after Kylie’s dramatic on-camera breakdown, Scott Cam has delivered a sad update on her situation to her fellow contestants.
The Block host Scott Cam gave contestants a “disappointing” update during Monday’s episode, as the teams prepared to pull together for one final week building a communal clubhouse on site.
All, that is, except for Kylie and Brad, who Cam announced had returned home to Cairns following Kylie’s dramatic on-camera breakdown in Sunday’s episode.
During an uncomfortable 90 minutes of television, Kylie kicked her team of trades out of her house, repeatedly swore at Cam during judging, then fled into the night barefoot after threatening the show’s camera crew.

Husband Brad and two members of the production team eventually found her by the side of the road, but she would only return to site temporarily, and vowed that she was done with the show.
It seems that wasn’t an empty threat. As the remaining teams assembled with a selection of past contestants to get stuck into “Clubhouse week,” Cam delivered the news.

“It’s a really disappointing situation that we’ve found ourselves in. The competition now is between four houses only. Kylie and Brad are not returning,” he said.
The couple not participating in this final week could seriously hurt them come auction day: This week’s winning team will score $50,000 off the reserve of their property.
The other contestants voiced their regret that things had turned out this way.
Ricky called them his “best mates on The Block … but to get to the very end and let that be the last thing you do on The Block? I can’t help but think she’s going to regret it.”
Charlotte said it was a “shame” the couple had missed what “was meant to be the fun week” after 12 weeks of hard work.
But Mimi, the “other woman” in the recent flirting scandal that appears to have ended Brad and Kylie’s relationship, had less to say.
“What can you do? That’s their decision. It’s a bit disappointing,” she said.
Viewers were horrified by Kylie’s behaviour during Sunday’s show, as she called the judges’ feedback a “f**king joke” and repeatedly ordered Scott Cam to “wrap it up” as he delivered the judges’ comments.
She also suggested she won’t be present at The Block auctions, set to take place this Saturday on Phillip Island ahead of Sunday’s season finale.
“I don’t want to come back for auction, I don’t want to come back and have to deal with them. I don’t,” she told her husband.
