FANS have been left disappointed after legendary Australian singer John Farnham cancelled his Gold Coast show next weekend due to ill health.
But his manager has moved to reassure fans that the much-loved performer is on the mend and will be back on stage soon.
Farnham was set to headline at By the C at Coolangatta on March 16, alongside Darryl Braithwaite and Vanessa Amorossi.
The 69-year-old also axed another three Australian gigs planned for March and April.

Promoters have confirmed the entire By the C event would now be cancelled and ticketholders would be refunded.
“John had minor surgery late last year, nothing to worry about, he recovered from it but got an infection afterwards,” his manager Glenn Wheatley said.
“The infection was bad enough that we had to cancel shows and no one is more mortified about that than John. I can think of only a handful of shows he’s cancelled in all the many years we’ve worked together.

“But the doctors want to be cautious and have told him to take it easy so we’ve had to reduce his workload to one show per weekend. We hope to make up the cancelled shows later this year.
“John’s health is 100% otherwise, there’s no other issues, we just have to make sure he’s ready to get back on the stage.”
Wheatley said he expects to announce more Farnham dates for the end of 2019 shortly.
By the C ticketholders will be automatically refunded on to their credit cards.
