Hot Tomato breakfast host Emily Jade O’Keeffe, husband Gerard Murtagh and their daughter Millie, 7, have welcomed a beautiful new baby boy to their family.

Teddy James Murtagh was born at 12.01am on Monday weighing eight pounds 11 (3678g) and measuring 53cm long.
The couple are yet to post any pictures of Teddy on their social media but Emily Jade was back on air by breakfast time to phone in the good news to her Hot Tomato co-presenters, David ‘Christo’ Christopher and Sean ‘Flan’ Flanagan, and Olympian Brooke Hanson, who is filling in for her while she’s on leave.

Jokingly referring to little Teddy as “Big Bopper” because of his size, Emily Jade said he arrived after an hour’s labour.
Emily Jade has shared her and her husband’s struggle to add to their family with the station’s listeners, detailing their heartbreak during 32 rounds of IVF — and a miscarriage — before she finally fell pregnant with Teddy.
Emily Jade kept listeners updated throughout her challenging pregnancy, which saw her undergo emergency surgery and confined to bed for two months on doctor’s orders.
