After four years of shaking her tail feather in Paris, a Moulin Rouge dancer has returned to the Gold Coast to perform in the city’s newest cabaret show.

AFTER four years of shaking her tail feather in Paris, burlesque dancer Jane McPhie has returned to the Gold Coast to perform in the city’s newest cabaret show.
Ms McPhie, 30, left the city in 2015 to live out her dream of performing in a Paris.
She spent a year performing for the Paradis Latin before landing a role with Moulin Rouge where she stayed for the next three years.

Ms McPhie found out two weeks ago she was one of 15 female dancers selected from around the world to perform at the soon to open The Pink Flamingo Spiegelclub.

“We are in the middle of rehearsals now. It’s eight hours a day, five days a week,” she said.
“For Sue (Porrett) to have opened something like this is so amazing. And to have it in Broadbeach is such a great location.

“The Gold Coast is already a destination for people to come and hopefully (the club) will be one of the things you just have to do while on the Gold Coast.”
Two of the city’s entertainment gurus — Tony Rigas and Sue Porrett — teamed up for the project, signing a 10-year lease for the building where former nightclub East used to be.
The first show, called SUAVÉ, will make its debut on Thursday August 22.
