Hollywood legend Al Pacino has revealed his terrifying near-death experience during the pandemic before he was revived by several paramedics at his home.

The 84-year-old said he had fallen unconscious as he battled symptoms of Covid, including a fever and dehydration, having told his staff he felt “unusually not good”.

He did not reveal exactly when the incident occurred.

“I was sitting there in my house, and I was gone … I didn’t have a pulse,” he told the New York Times.

“In a matter of minutes they were there – the ambulance in front of my house.”

“I had about six paramedics in that living room, and there were two doctors, and they had these outfits on that looked like they were from outer space or something.

“It was kind of shocking to open your eyes and see that. Everybody was around me, and they said: “He’s back. He’s here.”

The Godfather actor also described his last moments, which weren’t as many described.

“I didn’t see the white light or anything. There’s nothing there. As Hamlet says, ‘To be or not to be’; the undiscovered country from whose bourn, no traveller returns,” he said.

“And he says two words: ‘no more. It was no more. You’re gone. I’d never thought about it in my life. But you know actors: It sounds good to say I died once.”

However, Al Pacino said that “having children is a consolation” for death.

He recently welcomed his youngest child Roman, now one, with his 30-year-old girlfriend Noor Alfallah.

His son’s birth makes him one of the oldest fathers on record.

He also has three adult children – Julie Marie with his ex-girlfriend, acting coach Jan Tarrant and twins Anton and Olivia with ex-girlfriend, actress Beverly D’Angelo.

“It’s natural to have a different view of death as you get older,” Al Pacino said.

“It’s just the way it is. I didn’t ask for it. Just comes, like a lot of things just come.”
