Controversial MAFS contestant Mike Gunner hosts Gold Coast singles expo

A controversial MAFS contestant is set to host a three day singles event at the Gold Coast Convention Centre — and you’re invited.

MARRIED At First Sight star Mike Gunner will be hosting a three day singles event at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.

He will be at the event called Single & Ready 2 Mingle expo held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Broadbeach for two hours every day to MC a live speed dating show.

“Diane (the organiser) is a fan of me and asked me to do an appearance,” he said.

“I didn’t want to just stand there and take selfies, I wanted to be more hands on and do a bit of emceeing. It’ll be a bit of fun.”

The event was created by Gold Coast locals and event planners Diane Happ, 60, and her daughter Annabelle, 25.

After being single for over a decade, Diane said she wanted to create an event which would join other singles together and dish up dating advice.

“We go out and you don’t really have a great night and you don’t meet anyone no matter how hard you try. In the end you just waste a heap of money,” she said.

“Online (dating) is a big hit and a miss.

“We created an event as a different way for people to meet. We will be matching up singles live on stage from ages 20 to up to 80 years old.
