Dan MacPherson goes public with new girlfriend Jessica Dover

Dan MacPherson has debuted his new girlfriend – a fellow TV star – on social media, three years after his shock split from Zoe Ventoura.

Australian actor Daniel MacPherson has debuted his new girlfriend on social media.

The 43-year-old former Neighbours regular, who announced his split from fellow soap star Zoe Ventoura in 2020, appeared in a loved-up video with former House Rules contestant Jessica Dover.

The pair were first linked in March but were yet to officially confirm their relationship.

Taking to Instagram, Dover shared a collage of videos of MacPherson for his birthday, writing, “adore you.” MacPherson later re-shared the post.

MacPherson and Dover – who appeared on the 2018 series of House Rules with her then boyfriend, AFL player Jared Petrenko – could be seen cuddling on a plane, sunbaking and walking around Bondi in the sweet videos.

Adelaide-born primary school teacher Dover, who appeared as a contestant on the reno reality show House Rules, welcomed her first child, son Sebastian, with Adelaide Crows star Petrenko in mid-2020.

Less than a year later, they had seemingly confirmed their split.

Taking to Instagram with a photo of herself and Sebastian on Mother’s Day in 2021, Dover wrote, “Today isn’t how I imagined my first Mother’s Day to be, but I know as long as I have you, everything will be okay. Just you and me.’

Dover is a primary school teacher.

Dover has a son, Sebastian, from her previous relationship with former AFL player Jared Petrenko.

Meanwhile, MacPherson and Ventoura revealed they were separating in December 2020 after five years of marriage.

The pair share a son, three-year-old Austin.

MacPherson told Herald Sun last year he was feeling ready to date again, but he was “slowly” easing into the market. “I’m dipping my toe in and taking it very slowly,” he said. “I’m just loving fatherhood. Zoe and I are co-parenting and we’re really good, she’s a fantastic mother.”

The Australian actors, who were splitting their time between Sydney and LA at the time of their split, met in 2011 on the set of Channel 7 drama Wild Boys.

They became engaged in 2014 and were married in 2015 in Queensland.

The pair took to Instagram with an identical statement to announce their news, sharing a picture of themselves staring at the sunset together.

“With the greatest respect for each other, Dan and I have separated. Together, we will continue wholeheartedly to raise our beautiful boy Austin. He is, and will forever be, our greatest priority,” Ventoura wrote at the time.
