Celine Dion is set to make a sensational live music comeback in Las Vegas, according to new reports.

It’s believed that Dion, who is battling the debilitating Stiff Person Syndrome neurological disease, is planning to perform some of her biggest hit songs in a shortened show that would last just over an hour.

“Celine is coming back to perform,” a well-placed Las Vegas live entertainment source said.

“It is hush hush at the moment, but an announcement is imminent. Celine has signed off on singing again to audiences in November. She has worked incredibly hard to get back to a place where she can sing well and for some period of time. She believes that she is ready to perform for over an hour.”

The insider said Dion has an incredible “desire” to return to the stage and that it’s helped in her recovery.

“Her desire to return and entertain has been a huge driving force in her health battles. She never gave up and has been working in secret for months on her vocal strength and control.

The source added: “It started out as small sessions with her musicians at her home and has now grown into being able to sing a number of songs in a row to a standard she feels excited and content with.

If Dion’s health remains on an upward trend, it's believed she will likely perform some shows at the Resorts World Theatre around the time of the Las Vegas Formula One Grand Prix.

The singer began showing symptoms during her Taking Chances World Tour in 2008, during which she experienced stiffness in the body and limbs as well as debilitating muscle spasms. It wasn’t until 2022 that she went public with her health battle.

The Grammy winner previously revealed during an interview with Today the effect her condition has had on her voice.

“It’s like somebody is strangling you. It’s like somebody is pushing your larynx/pharynx,” she said while demonstrating. “It was like talking like that, and you cannot go high or lower.”

And the neurological disorder doesn’t only affect her vocal chords, even her ability to walk and move are compromised.
