Former reality star Brittany Hockley is reflecting on the Bachelor finale nobody saw coming, opening up about how her ex Nick Cummins treated her in the wake of his infamous double-dumping.

Hockley was brutally dropped in the finale of Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins’ season of The Bachelor along with Sophie Tieman, resulting in no winner and a history-making season for the franchise.

Speaking to the Happy Hour podcast, Hockley has now revealed the Honey Badger “blamed her” for the viewer uproar over his admission that he hadn’t found love on the show.

“He wasn’t the greatest to me afterwards,” the 33-year-old podcast host said. “I think he blamed me a lot for the hate he got from Australia. I don’t think he was expecting Australia to hate him so much.”

Hockley, who is now dating 27-year-old tennis star Jordan Thompson, said she confronted Cummins about why he was so hostile towards her to discover he was upset with some of the things she’d said in interviews.

“You do so many media interviews after, and he was like, ‘It’s everything you’re saying in the media,’ and I was like, ‘Find me one bad thing I’ve said, because I’ve never said a bad thing. I just wouldn’t have done it.’”

Hockley went on to touch on how Cummins’ shock final decision impacted the production team of the Channel 10 show, explaining that no one had any idea it was coming.

“When it happened, the production went into meltdown,” she explained. “You could see it on people’s faces.

“The way they were acting, it was very obvious that most of them were shocked at what just happened.”

According to Hockley, Cummins’ own producer was the only person he told, and even then, he didn’t find out until the day of the finale.

“I honestly thought it was me at the end with Nick,” she added. “I mean, I was still with him the night before, at 1am, on a date, we were in a spa, we were having a great time.

“You get up to record the finale at 8am, so only a few hours earlier. Everything he had said and did made me think it was me.”

In a final dig at the SAS Australia contender, Hockley mused that he may have just been in it for the money.

“There’s a huge chance he went in there knowing he was just gonna f**k around with thirty girls [and] get half a mil,” she said of Cummins, who was reportedly paid $500,000 for his season.

Three years on from the memorable season, Cummins has popped up on screens as an ambassador for Tradies underwear, with a reality TV stint last year on Channel 7’s SAS Australia.

Earlier this year, it was reported he’d found love with Alexandra George.

Meanwhile, Hockley went public with tennis player boyfriend Jordan Thompson in February, and hosts one of Australia’s most popular podcasts, Life Uncut.

Hockley’s podcast hosted with fellow Bachelor alum Laura Byrne recently won big at the Australian Podcast Awards, and has been picked up by KIIS FM to be turned into a national radio show.
