Angie Kent has now entered the world of acting.

After the reality star appeared in a number of Australia’s reality TV shows, the 30-year-old has decided to try her hand as an actress, landing herself a role in the feature film The Possessed.

Angie will star in the movie alongside Wolf Creek’s John Jarratt, Real Housewife of Sydney’s Melissa Tkautz, model Alli Simpson and former Bachelor star Romy Poulier, among several others such as Lincoln Lewis, Sean Lynch, Maha Wilson, Lauren Grimson, Simone Buchanan, Jade Kevin Foster and Melissa Bell.

“My manager asked if I’d like to audition for this film, and I thought, ‘Why not give it a red hot go?’

“I didn’t think I’d get it. I had to be really quite frightened in the audition, and you know what? Why not. Life’s for living and I love a good adventure,” Angie told Studio 10 on Monday.

When she asked what she channelled when going for her horror audition, she made a massive dig at her exes: “Every dude I dated on The Bachelorette”.

Production for The Possessed will commence in Queensland later this month, with the release date of the movie set for 2021.

It’s not the first time the former Gogglebox and Dancing With the Stars contestant made a dig at the men she dated in 2019.

In August, the star made a brutal jab at Ciarran Stott over his behaviour on Bachelor In Paradise, saying she would have kicked him off her season early on if she’d known what he was really like.

The once-popular British contestant’s controversial appearance on the past season of Bachelor In Paradise has seen him take a spectacular fall from grace, after first winning hearts across Australia on The Bachelorette last year.

In a scathing comment under a Mean Girls meme posted on the Bachie Funny Instagram page, Angie wrote: “She doesn’t even go here! Sorry Straya! If I knew (what he was like) sooner, I would’ve sent him and his hype man home second episode when I sent old mate politician home, because NO ONE f**ks with my sisterhood”.

The “hype man” she is likely referring to is Timm Hanly, Ciarran’s close friend, who was a runner-up on Angie’s season of The Bachelorette and who also faced backlash over his behaviour in Paradise.

The “politician” is likely Noosa councillor Jess Glasgow, who was kicked off the show by Angie after displaying misogynistic behaviour.

Under her original comment, Angie added: “Sorry that at some point we were all victimised by Regina George.”

In what’s sure to have proven a serious blow to Angie, the truth about Ciarran’s emotional departure from The Bachelorette surfaced during an episode of Paradise last month.

It was revealed that he’d lied when he’d tearfully told Angie he was bowing out of the campaign to be her boyfriend in order to attend his grandmother’s funeral – and that he’d actually left to reunite with ex-girlfriend Renee Barrett.

She even went as far as saying that the guys on her season used her to nab a spot on Bachelor In Paradise.

Angie took to Instagram to post a picture of herself with a glass of wine, she wrote: “Me sitting here knowing that 98 per cent of the fellas from my season were cast and only there to get on Bachelor In Paradise”.

Angie added that so many men from her season were in Paradise, that it should have been renamed “98 per cent from Angie’s Season of the Bachelorette in Paradise.”

Among those in Paradise who first appeared in Angie’s season are Timm Hanly, Ciarran Stott, Jackson Garlick, Matt Whyatt, Alex McKay and Niranga Amarasinghe.

She went on to take a thinly veiled swipe at the “manipulators” who were cast on the show.

“I certainly gave it my all and learnt some swell little lessons about myself/dating/bro code/manipulators and love … even if it wasn’t my forever love. I still conquered my fear and surrendered to the scary L-letter word,” she wrote.

In the Bachelorette finale last year, Angie declared her love for Carlin Sterritt, and the pair went on to have a relationship for several months.

However, they confirmed their split earlier this year.
